How does it actually work?
CommentDM connects to your Instagram Professional account through Meta's official API and watches the posts you choose. When someone comments with one of your keywords (like "LINK" or "PRICE"), it sends them a DM with your message — usually within seconds. You write the message once; it goes out every time.
Is this allowed by Instagram?
Yes. CommentDM uses Meta's official Instagram APIs with permissions you explicitly grant (instagram_business_manage_comments and instagram_business_manage_messages) — the same APIs tools like ManyChat use. It never asks for your Instagram password and never logs into your account. You write every message, and you can pause or disconnect any time.
Do commenters need to follow me to get the DM?
No. Anyone who comments the keyword on a watched post receives your DM — followers and non-followers alike. If you want, the optional follow-gate can verify someone follows you before unlocking a reward, but the basic DM flow works for everyone.
Are there limits on sending DMs?
Instagram requires private replies to be sent within 7 days of the comment — CommentDM sends them in seconds, so you're always well inside that window. Each plan also includes a monthly DM quota (100 on Free, 1,000 on Starter, 10,000 on Pro) plus hourly safety caps with a smart queue, so delivery stays healthy and your account stays safe.
What kind of Instagram account do I need?
You need an Instagram Professional account — Business or Creator. Personal accounts can't use Meta's messaging APIs, so they can't be connected. Switching to a Professional account is free and takes a minute inside the Instagram app.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from the Billing page in one click — no emails, no calls. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, and you can disconnect your Instagram accounts whenever you like.
